I came from a long line of military with one of my heroes in life being my grandfather – himself a WWII, Vietnam, and Korean Conflict veteran.  Service is simply a prime element in the metal of my heritage.  As such, I dedicated my life towards a military career … until some injuries and conditions changed the course for me.  Being an airborne Ranger was no longer to be my life, but service could still be.  Indeed…it needed to be.  So, I changed uniform into a suit and served as a federal employee – in research & development, testing & evaluation, and program acquisition.  I complemented my work with extracurricular activities coaching athletics, directing a nonprofit, being a SCUBA instructor, and doing some pro-bono business instruction, as well.  This was how I believed I could still fulfill my sworn Oath of “a lifetime of service to my Nation.”

Then, as the pandemic pressed ‘pause’ on the world, I broke as I saw business after business close their doors; unlikely to reopen again.  My crashing reality was that these businesses were more than just a store front but rather were anchors in their community, lifeblood for their families, dreams of what could be…and they were all being abandoned at record rates because they were not built along more resilient foundations in the first place.  If it's true that the "heartbeat of the American economy" is the small business, I saw that we have serious heart problems...and I realized that to truly fulfill my Oath, I needed to serve them.  Immediately thereafter, I resigned my federal position, and Business Profit Max     

(BPM being the way to measure the health of the heart) was born!

My objective is straight forward – to help serious business owners generate more clients, close more sales, and increase profits quickly and inexpensively while living a life-work balance for themselves.  My knowledge, skills, abilities, credentials, even my academics through to the terminal level were really making the impact in a governmental job – but for a small business, I could deploy all of those to build systems, structure, and results-driven strategies that transform the small business into what the owner once dreamt that it could be!
